In honour of the second print of her book “Dare”, we interviewed Diane Demetre to find out more about the woman who summoned the courage to take her producer boss to court when she was sacked for being “too fat”, after she refused his sexual advances.
Her decision to stand up to her employer and the legal battle that ensued, became one of the highest profile court cases in the 1980’s, and also paved the way for changes to the industrial workplace relations laws that now protect millions of women in their workplaces.
